here's some shots from the recent Quiksilver contest held in Long Beach, NY.  it was amazing, while the last day had some of the best waves I've seen on the east coast.

Update and 'Virginia is for lovers'

working on the website, which should be up in the next month.  also working on some groupings and getting some grouping ideas.

I took these photos last year while in Virginia at a friend's wedding.  Julie made a beautiful bride, and it was a great long weekend.  The first two are right after the ceremony.  The third is of one of the groomsmen's gifts - a beer stein in the shape of a boot, which holds over 50oz of beer.  The last is from a stream on Julie's parents' property.

Long time coming

It has been months since I've updated this blog.  I should have been keeping it up to date, but it's been a hectic time.  Bahamas.  Sri Lanka.  New York City.  I've just moved to NYC now - packed my life in the car and pursuing my dreams of taking photos for a living.

I am doing a lot more work now, so I will be updating this blog more frequently.  First update will be some photos from the Trip to the Bahamas.

Expect another update within the week.

The Waves have sucked this winter.  Nothing to ride and nothing to take photos of.  Figured I'd dig through my achrives and put some photos up from better days.

Georgia and Surfing

Just got back from a great weekend in North Georgia.  Camped the first night with sleet and snow flurries going on while we set up camp - definitely not a warm trip.  Had a great weekend overall though, and thought I'd post a couple pictures from the trip.  I'm also putting up a couple photos I got today while shooting surfers in St. Augustine.  Enjoy.

Trying out the whole blogging thing

Since it seems everyone else is doing the blogging thing, I figured I'd give it a shot.  Instead of words though, I'm going to be updating mine with photos once a week.  These shots will range from landscapes to sports to funny photos of friends; it's purely an outlet for some of my photography and also to help motivate me to try some new things.
